LIGHTNING DAMAGE NEAR WEWOKA, OK 05/08/06, 5:30AM. THE LIGHTNING STRIKE CAUSES THE BARK TO EXPLODE OFF THE TREE AT A VERY HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE BARK BULLETS SHOT THRU THE SIDING AND IN SOME AREAS, WENT THRU THE WINDOW, THEN THE NEXT WALL 12 FEET BEYOND THE WINDOW. BARK WAS FOUND AS FAR AWAY AS 250 FEET FROM THE BASE OF THE TREE.
